Out of Practice
Architect and Dickinson alumnus Chris Sharples will present “Out of Practice,” a lecture about his work in designing buildings and environments that improve the quality of public life. The talk will take place Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5:30-7 p.m. in Room 235, Weiss Center for the Arts, 240 W. High St. It is free and open to the public.
Sharples, a graduate in the class of 1987, is a principal at SHoP Architects, a firm in New York City founded more than 20 years ago. SHoP Architects has received multiple recognitions and awards, including Fast Company’s Most Innovative Architect Firm in the World (2014) and the Smithsonian/Cooper Hewitt National Design Award for Architecture (2009).
