Overview
Locations

Create a beautiful flowering container for Mom! Penn State Master Gardeners in Cumberland County are hosting a children’s workshop on Saturday, May 5, 2018, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at the Penn State Extension office, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle.

At this workshop, children can make and take home a colorful container of flowers and herbs for Mom on Mother’s Day, which is Sunday, May 13. The Master Gardeners will also help youngsters make a card to add a special message to Mom and create a decoration to brighten the container.

This activity is recommended for youth ages 4 to 12, and a parent or guardian must remain with the child during the workshop. The fee of $10.00 covers the cost of all supplies, including container and plants, to complete the project. Supplies are limited. Pre-registration is requested and will save your spot, but walk-ins will be accepted if supplies are still available. You may come anytime between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on May 5 to participate.

Penn State is committed to affirmative action, equal opportunity, and the diversity of its workforce. For registration information, please call 717-240-6500.
