POSTPONED: Cumberland Valley TrailFest
NOTE: This event has been postponed. Organizers are trying to finalize a date in the fall.
Once again, the Cumberland Valley Rail-to-Trail Council's annual Race, Run, Ride & Ramble is joining forces with the Shippensburg Historical Society's annual BrewFest to create the Cumberland Valley TrailFest. All events will be held at the new CVRT Shippensburg Station trailhead and the Shippensburg University triangle lawn located at the corner of Fort and Earl Streets in Shippensburg.
BrewFest: 11:30AM to 5PM
The event will include craft brews and spirits from local breweries and distilleries, food trucks, and live music from 11:30 AM to 5 PM! Entry to the BrewFest to enjoy the music is free to everyone. Registration for the Race, Run, Ride, or Ramble gets you a discounted BrewFest wristband to enjoy the craft brews and spirits from local breweries and distilleries. Or, if you are not racing, click here to purchase tickets to the BrewFest ($35 each). Proceeds from the BrewFest event will benefit the Shippensburg Historical Society and will be used to continue the work of the SHS in collecting, preserving, and sharing the history of the Shippensburg area.
Race, Run, Ride & Ramble
Enjoy 2 running races, a hike, a bike ride, and a kids' run on the Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail. The series of events held throughout the day will be based at the Shippensburg Station and will traverse almost 13 miles of completed rail-trail between the Shippensburg and Newville. A new festival location using the recently finished bridge and paved mile creates new distances with a 10k race 10-mile ramble and a 25-mile bike ride. The 5k remains with a new start and finish. Registration gets you a $5 discount on a BrewFest wristband that will allow you to enjoy the craft brews and spirits from local breweries and distilleries. Click here to register for the race.
