SEE Art Salon is a free lecture series for those who are interested in the arts and art history and share a belief in the inherent value of the arts to the community and to individuals. Art discussions are facilitated by experienced artists and professors and take place in CALC's gallery. All discussions are meant to be fun and creatively invigorating. Beverages and snacks are always ever present at CALC.

September 18 (dinner at 6 pm; lecture at 7 pm) -- Demi Hauseman: Burning Man Demi is a local artist, art teacher, and attendee of the Burning Man Festival, an annual week-long experiment in temporary community. Dedicated to anti-consumerism and self-expression, the Burning Man art festival traditionally culminates with the burning of a large wooden sculpture of a man. Burning Man is also devoted to acts of gift giving. Join us for a potluck community dinner at 6 pm followed by the lecture at 7 pm. Bring a dish to share in the gifting tradition of Burning Man.

October 16 -- Guy Freeman & John Wright: The New Digital Medium--An Exploration of Contexts & Potentials Guy and John are retired professional photographers, now artists and educators, who continue to pursue and unravel the possibilities of digital image creation.
