The Shippensburg Festival is an annual summer series of three concerts featuring artists of international renown. On hiatus since 2020, the festival returns in 2023 with three fantastic concerts. Plan to see all three.

A Festival Celebration featuring classical violinist Sarah Chang

One of the most celebrated and gifted violinists of our time, Sarah Chang, performs Bruch’s triumphant violin concerto followed by the massive 77-piece Shippensburg Festival Orchestra performing Rachmaninoff’s sumptuous Symphonic Dances.

Jurassic Park in Concert 

The action-packed adventure pits man against prehistoric predators in the ultimate battle for survival. Featuring visually stunning imagery and groundbreaking special effects, this epic film is sheer movie magic 65 million years in the making. Now audiences can experience Jurassic Park as never before: projected in HD with a full symphony orchestra performing John Williams’ iconic score live to picture.

Broadway Lovers: Stars of stage and screen Richard Troxell and Melissa Errico 

The festival culminates with an exceptional evening to remember when the Shippensburg Festival Orchestra is joined by “Broadway Lovers” Metropolitan Opera Tenor Richard Troxell and the beloved Broadway star Melissa Errico. Enjoy well-loved musical selections from famous Broadway classics like ShowboatWest Side StorySouth PacificMy Fair LadySweeney Todd and more. This concert is presented in honor of Dr. Blaine F. Shover, former Artistic Director of the Shippensburg Festival.
