We are happy to announce that the Shippensburg Festival Celebration Series will take place this summer on Thursday, July 18, and Saturday, July 20.  The festival welcomes back Guest Conductor Lawrence Loh, a Cumberland Valley native who has held major conducting positions with the Pittsburgh Symphony, West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, and Colorado Symphony and is currently the Music Director of The Syracuse Orchestra and the Waco Symphony Orchestra.

For over 50 years (with a brief hiatus due to Covid), professional musicians from orchestras in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia have gathered over the summer in Shippensburg to participate in the Shippensburg Festival under the baton of renowned guest conductors.  This year celebrates music in film with A Night at the Oscars on July 18th and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial In Concert on July 20th. Both performances will begin at 7 p.m.
