Come out to our first ever Sunflower Fest this October 6th and 7th at Meadowbrooke Gourds outside Carlisle, PA. We have planted about 75 acres of sunflowers that we expect to be at their peak for this festival. The best part is that you can pick them for free! This event will also have our last Oops Sale for this year where you can get some of your favorite designs at a big discount. We will also have horse-drawn wagon rides, Nomad Cuisine will be serving food, and the Warehime's Pumpkin Patch is right down the road for pick-your-own pumpkins.
SUNFLOWERS: Pick FREE sunflower and visit our cottages nestled in amongst the sunflowers. We will have a clipping station located on the front porch of the retail store. Here you can cut your sunflowers down for easier transport or you can purchase a mason jar (while supplies last) inside the store to take them home in. Water will be available by clipping station outside.
OOPS SALE: Our Fall Oops Sales has moved dates to our new Sunflower Festival. Bring your own bag if you would like so you can carry around all your treasures before you check out. We will be restocking throughout the night. As we craft our gourds throughout the year we occasionally make small oops. A small slip of the saw, a small crack, a drip in the finish, or maybe just a few more than our great sales genius can sell. We collect these and are putting them out in mass at great discounts for our sale!
HAYRIDES: Stick around in the afternoon (1pm to 5pm) to go on a horse-drawn hayride around the field. We will have someone from Meadowbrooke ride along to answer any questions you may have and to let you know what is being grown in the different fields. There is a nominal charge to go on the hayride. Please make sure to bring some cash along with you.
