The Cooking Class at Red Tomato Farm
June 7, 6-8 pm "Low and Slow and Full of Flavor"
Let’s take those tough cuts of meat and give them some character! We’ll be getting loooow and sloooow with beef short ribs while learning to slow cook and braise.
July 19, 6-8 pm "Wild and Succulent Salmon"
We don’t want you to have to “swim upstream” when it comes to cooking salmon! This class will cover types of salmon, cleaning and cutting, and ways to prepare it.
August 16, 6-8 pm "Sufferin’ Succotash…and Scallops Too!"
Sizzle...sizzle! Do i hear the sound of searing scallops?! Master this art perfectly with chef pat and make a local sweet corn succotash as a summer side.
Each class is led by Chef Pat Combs from Mountain Laurel Catering and Events. Classes will start with a brief demonstration of knife skills and how to use a chef’s knife. There will be a fruit and cheese board for participants to enjoy during class. Each class will end with a tasting of the main item plus a side. all class participants will receive printed recipes to take home.
Classes are $65 per participant. All classes are BYOB.
Optional: Add $20 per participant for three paired wine tastings.
