The Wall That Heals
The Wall That Heals exhibition features a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, and a mobile Education Center. The exhibit tells the story of the Vietnam War. The Wall, and the era surrounding the conflict, and is designed to put American experiences in Vietnam in an historical and cultural context. Since its dedication, The Wall That Heals has visited more than 400 cities and towns throughout the nation, spreading the Memorial's healing legacy to millions.
Constructed of powder-coated aluminum, the wall features 24 panels bearing the names of more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
The opening ceremony is on Wednesday, May 9, at 7 pm. The Wall That Heals will remain open for public viewing 24 hours a day until 2 pm on Sunday, May 13.
