Keystone Trails Association has been helping to keep Pennsylvania hiking trails safe and beautiful for over 40 years! We're excited to celebrate this milestone with a special trail maintenance event from May 31 to June 1 called Trail Love: Michaux State Forest Edition. Volunteers and community partners will tackle multiple trail maintenance projects on several trails in or proximate to the Michaux State Forest organized by local trail clubs and groups. An optional forest camporee on Friday evening and a congratulatory cookout will be provided after projects are completed on Saturday.

What to expect
Join new and old friends as we band together to raise up trails in Michaux State Forest! Show the trails you love some love! From raking and digging new trail segments to trimming back encroaching vegetation to painting blazes, we're sure to find something you can do.

Friday Night Camporee
You can camp with us for free at Pine Grove Furnace State Park. We'll have a campfire and smores. The park has many interesting historical sights, and the Appalachian Trail Museum will be open late just for us!

Saturday Trail Work
Meet at the Brickyard pavilion at Pine Grove Furnace State Park between 7:30 am and 8:30 am for a free breakfast. We'll check you in and give you your T-shirt. We'll head out on the trails following a short safety talk and introduction to our partners. Be sure to grab your bagged lunch on your way out.

Saturday Dinner
Meet back at the Brickyard pavilion at Pine Grove Furnace State Park to celebrate all our hard work with a free catered supper.

Who should attend this event?
Anyone who enjoys giving back to PA's hiking trails through trail maintenance and those with no trail work experience but who are willing to give it a shot. We offer "on-the-trail" training! You do not need to be a member of KTA or any of our partner groups to join us. In fact, this is a great opportunity to see what we're all about and make a few new friends.
