Overview
Locations

Join us in experimenting with unconventional art materials used in the 20th century. In the first session, we will explore unusual ways of painting, like the drip paintings of Jackson Pollack, using house paint, and the broken plate paintings of Julian Schnabel from the 1980s. The second session will include making collages and assemblages using common household items like sandpaper, rope and found items inspirted by Picasso, Georges Braque, Marcel Duchamp, and Joseph Cornell. In the third session, previous projects will be completed and materials will be explored in more depth.

Instructor: Carol Reed. Ages: teen to adult.
