Volunteer Food Safety Workshop - Cooking for Crowds

Overview
Locations

The Cooking for Crowds: A Volunteer’s Guide to Food Safety Workshop, conducted by Penn State Extension is being held in the Cumberland County office in Carlisle, PA on February 6th from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm. The Cooking for Crowds curriculum was designed to show non-profit groups the food safety risks that develop when cooking large volumes of food and how to reduce those risks so that the food prepared is both safe and delicious.

Although many of the food safety strategies recommended are similar to those recommended to commercial food establishments, the strategies have been translated into practical methods to meet the specific needs of non-profit audiences. Pre-registration is required. Register online at extension.psu.edu/cooking-for-crowds or call 877-345-0691.
