Yoga and Alexander Technique
There’s a difference between posture and poise. One is a position, the other is something more. One is fixed while the other is free. One is heavy and one is light. This class will explore how the Alexander Technique can compliment an existing yoga practice. This is not a yoga class but will look at how the principles of the technique can help foster a new sense of freedom and ease while pursuing poses and life’s movements in general. Help restore your body’s natural co-ordination by learning to do less.
Joe is an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique teacher who wishes to make movement easier for everyone. After finishing his training in Baltimore he moved back to the area where he currently teaches at Simply Well. Joe enjoys making music, being a musician by trade and heart.
