You will learn how to do the pose safely with proper alignment, getting in and out of the pose, different variations of the pose including basic, moderate and advanced variations, using props to go deeper & get more support, how long to hold the pose, benefits & precautions.
This month we will learn bridge/wheel postures. Come explore the variations of these postures and learn how to use props to make it more restorative. Learn how to safely position the neck so that the natural curve of the neck remains present during this pose. Some benefits of these postures are that they stretch the chest and the lungs. Strengthens the arms and wrists, legs, buttocks, abdomen and spine. Stimulates the thyroid and pituitary gland. Increases energy and counteracts depression. Therapeutic for asthma, back pain, infertility, and osteoporosis.
