Cumberland Valley

Every season is event season in the Cumberland Valley! Grab your family and friends and head out to explore our unique collection of events for any passion. Whether it's Ice Art Fest to celebrate the winter months, an Earth Day festival in the spring, music festivals throughout the summer months, a plethora of fall festivals, or Carlisle's Wonderland Weekend to welcome the holiday season, you'll be celebrating all year long. 

Effective 5/31/21, all COVID-19 restrictions related to gatherings, restaurants, and other businesses will be lifted, except the masking order. The masking order will be lifted when 70% of Pennsylvania adults are fully vaccinated.

Effective 5/31/21: All COVID-19 restrictions related to gatherings, restaurants, and other businesses will be lifted, except the masking order. The masking order will be lifted when 70% of Pennsylvania adults are fully vaccinated.

Effective 4/4/21: Governor Wolf announced revised maximum occupancy limits for indoor events to allow for 25% of maximum occupancy, regardless of venue size, and maximum occupancy limits for outdoor events to allow for 50% of maximum occupancy, regardless of venue size. Maximum occupancy is permitted only if attendees and workers are able to comply with the 6-foot physical distancing requirement.

3/1/21: Governor Wolf announced new occupancy limits for indoor and outdoor events.

  • Revised maximum occupancy limits for indoor events to allow for 15% of maximum occupancy, regardless of venue size. Core public health measures such as face-covering (mask-wearing), social distancing, and hand hygiene still must be enforced. The 15% of maximum occupancy is permitted only if attendees and workers are able to comply with the 6-foot physical distancing requirement.
  • Revised maximum occupancy limits for outdoor events to allow for 20% of maximum occupancy, regardless of venue size. Core public health measures such as face-covering (mask-wearing), social distancing, and hand hygiene still must be enforced. The 20% of maximum occupancy is permitted only if attendees and workers are able to comply with the 6-foot physical distancing requirement.

Many of our partners continue to offer virtual classes, lectures, or exhibits. While we are doing our best to keep our online events calendar updated, you should visit each partner's website or Facebook page for the most current information on cancellations. We recommend you check with event organizers if you have questions about cancellations and/or refunds.

What annual events have been canceled?

In-person events that have been canceled for 2021 include:

  • PA Farm Show (January) -- virtual
  • Great American Outdoor Show (February) 
  • Motorama (February)
  • Army Heritage Days (May) 
  • Foundry Day (June)
  • Jubilee Day (June)
  • Carlisle's Summerfair (end of June/early July): some activities may be planned for later in the summer/fall
  • Bluegrass on the Grass (July)
