H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center

The state-of-the-art H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center at Shippensburg University hosts a variety of acts surrounding the holiday season. View seasonal performances below.

The Raleigh Ringers: A Holiday Concert - December 3rd: This internationally-acclaimed concert handbell choir dazzles audiences with their unique interpretation of sacred, secular and popular music arranged just for handbells.

The Ten Tenors "Home for the Holidays" Tour - December 9th: The Ten Tenors will walk you through a mix of festive favorites and modern holiday hits 

The Oak Ridge Boys' Christmas Celebration Tour - December 21st: The nearly two-hour show will feature holiday tunes with a back drop of snow, Christmas trees and a visit from Santa.

The Playhouse at Allenberry

Attend a holiday performance at the newly-renovated playhouse at Allenberry Resort. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical is a buoyant musical adaptation of the funny and touching holiday classic. Silent night? Not a chance. But sometimes a little joyful noise is just right for Christmas. Performances take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from December 1st to December 17.

Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet

Whether this is your annual holiday tradition or a new discovery, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet's performance of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker is a beloved masterpiece sure to delight the entire family. Performances will be held on December 9 & 10 at Whitaker Center and December 16 and 17 at Hershey Theatre.

Carlisle Theatre

During the holiday months the retro Carlisle Theatre hosts special movies and performances. 2017 events include the following.

Holiday Movie: Home Alone - December 1st: Bring the entire family to enjoy a free showing of this movie.

Holiday Movie: White Christmas - December 2nd: The Carlisle Theatre once again presents Irving Berlin's White Christmas. The showing of this movie has become a popular tradition at the Theatre. Come and get in the holiday spirit with family and friends...sing along if you just can't stop yourself.

Messiah College

Messiah College will feature several holiday performances.

Blue Christmas - November 16: Messiah College students use the medium of dance to find comfort, hope and joy in the Christmas season. Free performance.

Christmas Concert: December 3rd: Begin your Christmas season with this beautiful concert featuring a variety of Department of Music ensembles.

Tim Warfield's All-Star Jazzy Christmas - December 8th: Tim Warfield will showcase a collection of traditional holiday songs realized from an improvisational perspective.

A Candlelight Christmas - December 15th: The Susquehanna Chorale performs performs both new and familiar songs of the season.
