H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center

The state-of-the-art H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center at Shippensburg University hosts a variety of acts surrounding the holiday season. In 2019, shows included A Magical Cirque Christmas, Swan Lake presented by the National Ballet Theatre of Odessa (Ukraine), Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis, and Michael W. Smith's "Christmas". Christmas shows for 2020 will be announced in late summer.

The Playhouse at Allenberry

Each year, The Playhouse at Allenberry stages a performance that is sure to get guests into the holiday spirit. In 2019, they present Meredith Willson's Miracle on 34th Street The Musical. This family-friendly and heartwarming musical is suitable for the entire family and the perfect holiday treat.

Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet

Whether this is your annual holiday tradition or a new discovery, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet's performance of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker is a beloved masterpiece sure to delight the entire family. Immerse yourself in this captivating production featuring dazzling costumes, brilliant dancers, and magical music that will have your heart bursting with holiday cheer. Performances are held each year in December at Whitaker Center and Hershey Theatre.

Carlisle Theatre

During the holiday months, the retro Carlisle Theatre hosts special movies and performances to help you get into the holiday spirit including the popular tradition of presenting Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Players on High will also present It's a Wonderful Life, a touching, family-friendly production that reminds audiences of the importance of community during the holiday season.

Messiah College

Messiah College has several holiday concerts featuring both new and familiar songs of the season, including an annual presentation of "A Candlelight Christmas" by the Susquehanna Chorale.

Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg

In 2019, Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg presents Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol. Adapted from the Charles Dickens' classic, this heartwarming Christmas tale full of family fun is appropriate for all audiences.
