For the first time, the FIFA World Cup 26™ will be held across three countries. Canada, Mexico, and the USA will share hosting duties in a ground-breaking edition of the sport's greatest event.
16 stadiums have been selected to host matches among 48 teams, with some truly spectacular venues set to showcase the best of this beautiful game.
The nearest venue to Cumberland Valley is Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, also known as home to the Philadelphia Eagles. With a capacity of 62,000, the stadium has hosted several of the world’s best soccer events, including breaking a USWNT attendance record in August 2109 with nearly 50,000 fans in attendance for a stand-alone friendly.
The Linc will host matches in the group stage and in the Round of 16.

Cumberland Valley is a short 2.5-hour drive along the PA Turnpike (I-76) from the venue. We invite fans attending the matches to explore Philadelphia and the surrounding region, especially since 2026 also marks America’s 250th anniversary celebration.

Events in Cumberland Valley
Summertime promises a plethora of inexpensive, family-friendly events for every interest. Here are some highlights. Dates and times will be posted in early 2026. Browse our online calendar for a complete list of events.
JUNE FEATURED EVENTS
Foundry Day is a juried arts festival that takes place along Children's Lake in the picturesque village of Boiling Springs. It is held annually on the first Saturday in June.
The Downtown Carlisle Ford Parade and Street Party is held during the annual Ford Nationals auto show. All makes and models of Fords cruise down Hanover and High Streets in Carlisle. Shops and restaurants are open late, and live music fills the streets.
Jubilee Day is the largest, longest-running one-day street fair on the East Coast. This annual event features over 325 vendors offering food, games, arts & crafts, business information, retail products, carnival rides, and more. There is a Children's Area with activities for young children and live entertainment on two stages. Jubilee Day takes place annually on the third Thursday in June.
The Iron Bridge Music Festival takes place the third weekend in June in New Cumberland and is a free event that celebrates all things music. Enjoy live music, a beer garden, food trucks, and more along the scenic Yellow Breeches Creek.
Carlisle Summerfair provides the community with family-friendly events offered at no cost. There are 30 events taking place over ten days from the end of June to the beginning of July. Activities include concerts, a craft show, a fishing derby, a mini-golf tournament, and a scavenger hunt.
JULY FEATURED EVENTS
Bluegrass on the Grass takes place each July on the Dickinson College campus. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a full day of bluegrass music.
Activities during the six-day Shippensburg Community Fair include on-stage entertainment, numerous food vendors, rides and games, truck and tractor pulls, horse shows and pulls, a craft show, fair exhibits, and more.
Numerous July 4th celebrations also occur in communities through Cumberland Valley, including Stars Burst Over Carlisle and the Food Truck Festival & Fireworks along Riverfront Park in Harrisburg.
