Built in the early 1900s, this home has been completely renovated and is modern inside. Located in a quiet farming community just outside of Carlisle, there are many outdoor recreational activities on the farmhouse property and within close driving distance. Many additional attractions can be found throughout south central Pennsylvania and are easily accessed by car.

Opossum Lake, a 59-acre recreation area managed by the PA Fish and Boat Commission, is just minutes away. Caoeing, kayaking, fishing and tubing are possible on the Conodguinet Creek. Eagles Crossing Golf Club is only several miles from the house. The Carlisle Barracks Golf Course is also nearby and open to the public. There are several other public golf courses in the area.

Visitors are less than 10 minutes from Carlisle. Historic sites in town include the Revolutionary War Hessian Powder Magazine, the Molly Pitcher grave, and Old West, an iconic building on the campus of Dickinson College, designed by Benjamin Latrobe, architect of the United State Capitol. The Cumberland County Historical Society, in downtown Carlisle, also offers a number of different walking tours. Carlisle also includes such highlights as Penn State Dickinson School of Law; numerous parks and restaurants; the Carlisle Fairgrounds, home to 9 car shows hosted by Carlisle Events; antique stores; and the US Army Heritage and Education Center, featuring an interpretive and interactive museum and one-mile walking trail.

Nearby locations include Roundtop Mountain Resort offering both summer and winter activities; three local state parks and the Appalachian Trail; numerous bird watching locations; and a number of streams for fly-fishing, including three of the world's most popular fly-fishing destinations. Gettysburg, Lancaster and Hershey Park area all within easy driving distance.
