  • Indoor Team Building Description:

Your team works hard to deliver outstanding results, and we provide the best team building activities at the most reasonable rate and terms that you’ll find between Chambersburg, Hershey, and York! While many studios offer team building activities, only Create-A-Palooza is owned and operated by two highly experienced, professional art educators with master’s degrees in Education and Instructional Technology.

We offer a multitude of fun activities ranging from light hearted and fun “wine and paint” parties to formal offerings that meet established educational outcomes. For example, we can design a custom group project where each member creatively contributes to a mosaic for your office! You can choose from a variety of media options including canvas, “paint your own” pottery (either “make and take” or we’ll fire at a quick turnaround), clay hand building and mug making, glass, and Meadowbrooke Gourds.

As one public example of our work, we researched and designed the 2018 Santa Claus Ornament for the Downtown Carlisle Association. At a community level we volunteer our event management services by chairing the Carlisle Christmas Parade Committee. We also provide free art activities for various community events and serve on the executive boards of the Downtown Carlisle Association, the Charles Bruce Foundation, and Community Heart & Soul.

If you prefer a more catered event, we partner with many fantastic local restaurants in the Carlisle area such as Castlerigg, Seve-N-Dots Pizza, Market Cross, Brick, and Grand Illusion. Or include gourmet appetizers and refreshments from the neighboring Gilded Door Oil & Vinegar Taproom in our building!

Prefer a dash of history with your team building event? Our beautiful building was originally the family home of Revolutionary War Colonel and Congressional delegate John Creigh and his descendants. Col. Creigh first laid out the Carlisle downtown plan in 1764 and his map hangs in the library of the Cumberland County Historical Society. Just prior to the Civil War, the building changed hands. In 1889 it was converted from a mansion into a tailor shop by Charles Marquette, a Civil War Medal of Honor recipient for bravery at Petersburg who came to Carlisle to teach at the Indian School The ornate interiors and façade that you see today date to that time and appear in many historic photographs of Carlisle.

Our award-winning studio was named the best Arts/Activities Center in Cumberland County, for two years running in 2017 and 2018. Create keepsake works of art, make wonderful memories, and enjoy centuries of history at Create-A-Palooza!
