Using only the best ingredients, Desperate Times Brewery seeks to create risky and adventurous high-quality beers that capture the desperation of the Prohibition era. The laid-back atmosphere offers TVs, board games for all ages, and a life-size Jenga. Children are welcome.
Desperate Times has thirteen of its own beers on tap and a full menu, including a children's menu and non-alcoholic beverages. Awards include a silver medal in the German Wheat Ale Category at the 2019 US Open Beer Championship for their German Weizen and second place in the Dark Lager category at the 2020 Pennsylvania Farm Show for their Black Forest. Desperate Times Brewery also earned a Bronze Medal in the Munchner Dunkel Category for their DTB Dunkle and a Silver Medal in the Strong Scottish Ale Category for Wee Heavy Scottish Ale at the 2022 US Beer Open Championships.
This 3,000 square-foot tasting room and 4,800 square-foot brewhouse is located within walking distance of the Carlisle Events fairgrounds. When the weather is nice, enjoy drinking and dining in the outdoor Biergarten.
Desperate Times Brewery is a participating location on the Cumberland Valley Beer Trail.
