Sunset Rocks Trail also known as Little Rocky Ridge is in the Michaux State Forest. This trail is one of the most popular hikes in the area because it offers great views and takes the hiker to the ruins of a top-secret World War II POW camp. It is very steep so watch your footing!

If you feel up to the challenge this can be made into a long loop of about 8.3 miles by walking to Michaux Road turning left and then hiking by the ruins to the abandoned road leading back to your parking space. This makes for a great weekend hike so that you don't have to rush. Park at Pine Grove Furnace State Park near the Iron Furnace. There are restrooms available beside the furnace.

You can reduce the trail length by making this an out and back hike; however, in doing so you will miss the ruins unless you take the abandoned road from the parking area (then you miss the views).

There are also two additional parking areas that allow for even shorter hikes. Both Old Shippensburg Road and Michaux Road offer gravel parking areas (Old Shippensburg Road turns into a dirt road with a dead end) but are limited to a handful of vehicles.
