details
The Barefoot Historian is a one-stop shop for historical fun offering ghost & history tours, whiskey walks, historical costuming and costumed appearances/classes for private groups/corporate organizations/educational groups.
In an effort to provide the safest and most accommodating ways for people to still enjoy Carlisle's significant history, The Barefoot Historian also offers private tours and events for groups of 8 or more. Masks are requested and will be available for anyone who comes without one. All tours (except for the Carlisle Theater) are outdoors making it easy to provide a fun experience with minimal risk. All of the walking tours are accessible for wheelchairs and additional specific needs -- including the option to provide an ASL interpreter for the hearing impaired -- can be accommodated.
Located in a former green room and rehearsal space next to the Carlisle Theatre, The Barefoot Historian has transformed the space into a stunning display of antiques, history, and costuming elegance.
Offerings are also available via Zoom if participants are not comfortable meeting in person.
