Musical entertainment includes Lochiele Emerald Society Pipe Band, the very popular Charlie Zahm, Keltish, From the Well, Moch Pryderi, The Martin Family Band with the Hoolie Dancers, Fire in the Glen, Jamie O'Brien, McGinley School of Irish Dance and Harrisburg Scottish Country Dancers. In addition there will be Border Collie demonstrations and the re-enactment group Muskets of the Crown. The Central Pennsylvania Scottish Society will have a "Bonny Knees" competition for all men wearing kilts. Fifteen Scottish Clans will be represented to help you find your clan.
You will have a chance to try your hand at a "ring toss" game that is becoming very popular in the pubs in Ireland. There will be vendors selling all things Irish, Scottish and Welsh and food vendors with delicious food to tempt your taste buds.
You don't need to spend lots of money to fly to the United Kingdom - just take a short drive on Route 81 North to Exit 45 - you will think you are there!
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $9.00 (children under 10 free) at the Cumberland County Historical Society, 21 N Pitt Street, Carlisle; History on High - The Shop, 33 W High Street, Carlisle; or Oxford Hall Celtic Shop, 315 Bridge Street, New Cumberland. Admission on the day of the festival is $10.
