The Barn at Creek's Bend

Grant funds helped with the renovations of this new meeting venue located at the Carlisle Sports Emporium. The Carlisle Sports Emporium recognized the need for a larger indoor and outdoor event location for corporate events, conventions, weddings, and other social gatherings of more than 300 people. Appalachian Trail Museum

Located in a 200-year-old grist mill in Pine Grove Furnace State Park, the Appalachian Trail Museum is the only museum in the country dedicated to hiking. It portrays and preserves the history and the physical, emotional and spiritual human experiences of the Appalachian Trail. Read More 

Cumberland County Historical Society

This premier history and education center maintains a library, museum, photo archives, education center, museum shop, and the Two Mile House. Sixteen galleries are filled with stories that span 250 years of local history. Read More 

Cumberland Valley Rail Trail

Grant awards to the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail have helped to fund two miles of trail and a parking lot at the new Allen Road entrance. Read More 

Cumberland Valley Railroad Museum

Grant funds assisted with the development of the Cumberland Valley Railroad Museum, housed in a historic 1956 Penn Central boxcar, at the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail trailhead, adjacent to Shippensburg University and just blocks from the community‚Äôs historic downtown. Read More 

Friends of Pine Grove Furnace State Park

Grant funding, combined with hours of volunteer labor, helped to construct a 50 foot bridge over Mountain Creek and provide 1.72 miles of trail improvements in Pine Grove Furnace State Park. Read More 

The Kitchen Shoppe & Cooking School

Grant funding contributed to the creation of outdoor kitchen for class and demonstration use. Read More 

Market Cross Pub & Brewery

An underutilized area behind Market Cross Pub & Brewery was transformed into a Beer Garden to increase seating for the restaurant and provide a more appealing area for events. Read More 

TCO Fly Shop

Grant funding helped with restoration upgrades of Yellow Breeches Outfitters to restore the building in a historically appropriate manner. Read More 

The Winery at Long Shot Farm

The grant assisted with renovations to an early 1800s stone and wood barn to convert it into a tasting room and production area for The Winery at The Long Shot Farm. Read More
