Autobahn Indoor Speedway is a fun and competitive go-karting track that offers fast thrills for all experience levels. The speed of the electric carts can reach up to 50 MPH with each race typically consisting of 14 laps (this can change depending upon your group and type of race). The goal is not necessarily to finish first, but to have the fastest lap time. From my experience, 18-20 seconds per lap is typically the fastest.
Let me preface this by saying I’m not tremendously good at sharp turns at a high rate of speed. While
Autobahn’s course is filled with many turns, the staff will make sure to let each driver know if you’re dangering other drivers or if you need to move to the outside of the track. In my first race, it took me a few laps to really get adjusted to the turns and how best to accelerate and break. As you can see with the chart (I’m the bold red line), I started out slow and was able to get my way to third place. Despite my mediocre performance, I really wanted to try again. A few days later I brought a friend who I knew would really enjoy it. Our competition was more intense from the previous outing, which caused me to have to step it up. On my first race, I had an avg. speed of 24 sec/lap and on my next race I had an average of 22 sec/lap. After your race is complete, a staff member will hand you your results and how you compared to the other drivers.
