Due to the strength of our partnerships and the people involved, the CVVB has been able to create and develop projects such as the downtown Carlisle Visitors Center, Visitor Information Desk at USAHEC, signage programs, and many others.

AirDNA = A company that offers short-term rental lodging data. Supply and demand vary more for short-term rentals than traditional lodging options. 

Economic Impact

The annual Economic Impact of Pennsylvania’s Travel and Tourism Industry report, provided by the state's tourism office, offers state, regional, and county-level estimates that demonstrate the vital importance of the travel industry to Pennsylvania’s economy. The report provides estimates of visitor spending, employment, and earnings derived from traveler spending, the contribution of the travel industry to Pennsylvania’s gross state product, and tax receipts derived from traveler spending. The 2022 report is now available to view.

 

2024 Consumer Perception Study

View the results of the Consumer Perception Study undertaken by our agency-of-record, Relic, to identify tourist and visitor awareness and perceptions of Cumberland Valley, identify destination touch points, and develop insights into the destination narrative.
