The Appalachian Brewing Company is a microbrewery and brewpub in the Central PA area. They make their hand-crafted lagers and ales in small batches. Menu items include appetizers, gourmet pizzas, burgers, salads, steaks and more. The Carlisle Pike location is their 7th brewpub in the growing chain. The restaurant seats more than 250 diners in five different dining areas including a patio, mezzanine, and open-air brewery dining room. Diners will find menu items such as trail burgers, mile high meatloaf, and rockfish tacos.
Historically the city of Harrisburg produced a lot of beer for the region until prohibition. The Appalachian Brewing Company revived that in 1997 by opening the first brewery in Harrisburg in 46 years. ABC is moving all of its specialty beer and craft soda production to the 26,000 square-foot Mechanicsburg location. No tours available.
