Gifford Pinchot State Park comprises 2,338-acre in northern York County along PA 177 between the towns of Rossville and Lewisberry. The park includes the 340-acre Pinchot Lake that offers a beach area for swimming, three boat launch areas (electric motors only), and fishing. About 1,780 acres are open to hunting, trapping, and dog training. There are 18 miles of trails for hiking and 4 miles of biking trails, plus several miles of horseback riding. There are two 18-hole disc golf courses. One is fairly level course ideal for families. The other is a more challenging hilly course. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, ice fishing, ice skating and ice boating.
The park also has 339 camping sites at the southern end of the lake (open seasonally from the 2nd Friday in April through the end of October).
