VISITORS GUIDE
Green Springs is a well-hidden, limestone stream, with headwaters starting at the Conodoguinet Creek. A thick canopy of trees with few open meadows makes access to the stream difficult. The easiest access route is to drive along Bulls Head Road in Newville.
Fishing in this stream is a challenge. It is narrow and tree-lined. The fish have many places to hide. The stream is mostly stocked with Brown, Rainbow and Brooke Trout, but also has a small native population. There is a one mile catch-and-release fly fishing only section; from mouth upstream to near confluence with Bulls Head Branch
Anglers have reported the best time to fish in Green Spring is late spring thru early fall.
