Founded in 1869, the Historical Society of Dauphin County is housed in the John Harris-Simon Cameron Mansion. Stop by for a tour of the Mansion, Tuesday through Friday, at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm or the second Sunday of each month at 1:00 pm. The research library is open Tuesday through Friday and the second Sunday of the month from 1 pm to 4 pm. (Please call ahead to verify hours as changes may be made from time to time.)
The mission of the HSDC is to collect, preserve, exhibit, publish, and promote interest in the history of Dauphin County for the education, enjoyment, and benefit of the public.
