details

Kurt makes glazed and unglazed anagama-style pottery using a variety of local materials. His average firing takes 70-80 hours and 4-5 cords of firewood, which is procured from local sawmills. The long firings create a variety of glazes and surfaces unique to every firing and using local clay and wood makes both a physical and metaphoric connection the land and forest. Please visit Kurt's Etsy Shop, "KurtBrantnerPottery" or feel free to make an appointment to visit the studio.

Kurt's pottery can also be purchased at Village Artisans Gallery in Boiling Springs.
