The 1.9-mile out and back Rock Scree Trail in Kings Gap Environmental Education Center leaves the Pine Plantation Day Use Area and travels past the rocky ridge where stone was quarried for the mansion. The trail takes you up the mountain and ends with a beautiful view of Cumberland Valley.

More Difficult (difficulty rating is based on technical challenge, not physical challenge): Elevation gain or loss is moderate, less than 12% slope, maximum 30% up to 300 feet
