Shippensburg Borough

Founded in 1730 and incorporated as a borough in 1819, this mostly rural community lies on the very edge of the border between Cumberland and Franklin Counties. It is the oldest community in Cumberland County and is home to Shippensburg University and the H. Ric Luhrs Center.
