Thornwald Park is 32-acres and just minutes from the center of Carlisle. Enjoy hiking, picnicking or reading a book while enjoying the beautiful natural landscape. The park also offers an orienteering course that can be completed at your own pace by yourself or with a group. Click here for a map.
At the edge of the park sits the Thornwald Mansion built in 1910 and now serving as a B&B. The Mansion is private property.
Trail Info: The .75 mile loop walking trail winds through a wooded area within the park.
The Carrol J. Warrell Amphitheater is located in a wooded section of the park. There is a covered stage with access to electricity. Tiers of wooden benches accommodate 250 guests. The venue is available to rent for ceremonies. Please call the Carlisle Parks and Recreation Office at 717-243-3318 to reserve.
