The Tuscarora Trail is located within the Tuscarora State Forest and is a branch off of the famous Appalachian Trail. The trail connects with the A.T. near Waggoner's Gap. It is less busy and a bit more rugged compared to the A.T. The trail is over 220 miles in length with 110 miles in Pennsylvania. There are numerous sections of the trail. Here are the Cumberland Valley locations:
Section 1: Sterretts Gap (Appalachian Trail to Waggoners Gap, 12 miles)
Section 2: Flat Rock (Waggoners Gap to Colonel Denning State Park, 13.2 miles)
Section 3: Blue Mountain (Colonel Denning State Park to Cowpens Road, 8.1 miles)
