Carlisle's 10th Ice Art Fest

The Ice Art Fest, a dazzling display in Downtown Carlisle, begins on February 6 at 5 pm and continues through Sunday, February 8, at 3 pm. Sponsored by UPMC, the event promises an icy spectacle featuring over 100 ice sculptures. Our downtown businesses invite you to come in out of the cold to shop while you warm up. And there are plenty of options for hot beverages and bites! Many merchants will be offering extended hours, along with special activities, live music, and more.

Celebrating 10 years in 2026 and held on the same weekend as the Big Game, this festival guarantees a wintry wonderland experience for all. We’ve put together a weekend itinerary to help you make the most of the festival while enjoying other winter activities and delights Carlisle offers.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

A ribbon-cutting ceremony in Veteran’s Courtyard will kick off the event on Friday, February 6th at 5 pm. UPMC’s Royal Ice Throne will be unveiled, along with more than 100 other unique sculptures throughout historic downtown Carlisle.

Ice Bar

After the ceremony, guests can enjoy libations at the illustrious Ice Bar at the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion, or stroll the streets to see all the statuaries. The Ice Bar opens at 4 pm on Friday. and 11 am on Saturday. Patio seating for the Ice Bar only; make your reservations now to secure a table for indoor dining.

NEW: Snow Zone

New this year, the Snow Zone play area will be located at the Cumberland County Historical Society Pocket Park (between 47 and 49 W. High Street). The Snow Zone is open on Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Saturday from 3 pm to 5 pm. Admission cost is $5.

Live Ice Sculpture Carvings

Live ice sculpture carvings will take place on the town square on Saturday at 11 am and 1 pm, near the old courthouse. Don't miss the Cumberland County Liberty Bell, which celebrates America250PA.

Carriage Rides

Update: DUE TO THE FORECAST, SATURDAY RIDES HAVE BEEN CANCELED Benchfield Farms will return to offer horse-and-carriage rides throughout the weekend. Reservations are recommended but not required.
