Carlisle's Ice Art Fest is back for 2024!

The Ice Art Fest, a dazzling display in Downtown Carlisle, begins on Friday, February 2, at 4 p.m. and continues until Sunday, February 4, at 3 p.m. Sponsored by UPMC, the event promises to be an icy spectacle with over 100 ice sculptures. High St.), Georgie Lou's Retro Candy (56 W. High St.), and Benchfield Farms (near the town square).

The event will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Veterans Square (Hanover & High Streets) on Friday, February 2, at 5 p.m.

Attendees can marvel at and sit on the UPMC Royal Ice Throne on The Square, sip libations at the stunning Ice Bar hosted by Comfort Suites/1794 Whiskey Rebellion, or stroll the streets to view the sculptures. Photo opportunities can be found along the streets as well as in the Vale-Himes Pocket Park adjacent to the Cumberland County Historical Society (21 N. Pitt Street).

Live ice sculpture carvings will take place at the Square in front of the Old Courthouse on Saturday, February 3. The carving for the Members 1st sculpture begins at 11 am, followed by the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau sculpture at 1 pm.

Many downtown merchants will be offering extended hours with special activities, live music, and more. Marjorie's Gems will again host their annual and popular Diamond Dig (see below). Family and friends can also enjoy scenic carriage rides from Benchfield Farms throughout the weekend (see below).

This festival guarantees a wintry wonderland experience for all.

STREET PARKING: We have plenty of street parking throughout downtown. Street parking is FREE after 4 p.m. on weekdays and FREE ALL DAY on weekends.

MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS: We have four larger parking lots around town, including one off of West Louther Street (by the Post Office), two lots off East Louther Street, and another lot located off of West Pomfret Street. These lots are also FREE on weekends and after 4 pm weekdays.

POMFRET STREET GARAGE: The garage is located at 35 West Pomfret Street, and it is CASH ONLY. The cost is $0.75/hour, with a maximum of $6/day.
